Course Aim
To increase the awareness and knowledge of managers and supervisors
to help them comply with the requirements of the Construction Design
and Management (CDM) Regulations.

safety plan.
(5) State the main risks to health and safety from maintenance
activities.
(6) Outline the features of the safety file.
(7) Outline the essential elements for an effective post-tender
safety plan.
(8) Develop a simple pre-tender safety plan.

0930 Introductions and domestic arrangements. Course aims and objectives.
Definitions. When CDM applies. Who the duty holder are. When a project
needs to be notified and form F10 (rev). Role of clients and agents
of clients.

safety compliance statement. Video "Too much trouble"
- building maintenance. Main health and safety risks from maintenance
activities. Designers duties. The health and safety file. Requirements
of the planning supervisor.

health and safety plan. Video "Danger vehicles at work"
- dangers from construction traffic. The health and safety plan
